Daffodil Day

I went to buy my daffodils in support of cancer research on the way home from work, but the supermarket had already sold out! I will have to get in early next year.

This is a wonderful way to support cancer research as we all have had friends and family who have had cancer. Today is a great day to reflect on our friends and family who are affected by cancer and send some positive vibes out into the universe for them.

Winter Blues

I think my winter blues finally hit rock bottom Thursday night.

I came home from work feeling just horrible. I felt bloated, 5kg heavier and just outright unmotivated.

I turned to dear hubbie and said, "that's it, I'm going back to yoga". I hadn't been for over two months.

I was finding it really hard to get back in the car after getting home from work when it was already dark and way too cold.

So with alot of effort, I put my yoga outfit on, dusted off my yoga mat and jumped back in the car.

How fantastic did I feel after it. Spring is in the air!

I was a little worried that I would be back at the beginning, but was surprised at how flexible I still was after missing two months.

Next winter I mustn't use being too cold or dark as an excuse!

I'm so motivated now, I'm off to do yoga again this morning.

Ekka Show Day Holiday!

For those of you who don't know, it people's day at the Ekka.

Brisbane City has a holiday!

I plan on spending my day, painting the fence and going on a nice big walk.

Cake Stands

After visiting a girlfriend last weekend, I saw a beautiful cake dome on her kitchen bench, filled with cupcakes. First I was surprised because I didn't realised she baked, but then I was captivated at how beautiful it looked as a decorative feature on her kitchen bench.

So the search began!

I loved this one from Robin's Kitchen but you would not see the beautiful cupcakes clearly through this fancy glass.

I love this Maxwell Williams one, but it had no lid. I do plan on getting this one at a later date. It will be perfect for when I make a cake for dessert when I'm entertaining. I love the simplicity and clean lines.

These Donna Hay ones are gorgeous. I just had to show the picture. She also does them in a divine green colour.

This is the one I choose. S&P 32cm Salut Cake Dome. It is nice and compact with a nice high dome to stack the cupcakes!

White Room

Spring Inspiration!

I am so looking forward to the warmer weather.

Hopefully the weather will be nice enough this weekend to start getting the garden looking nice around the pool.

White Lamp Shades

I am currently redecorating my spare bedroom.

I am making this my white room.

Every woman needs a white room right?

Some place where the kids and husband aren't allowed, a place for you to go into and just admire the beauty and relax.

Anyhow, I need some inspiration for a lamp shade.

Here are some nice ones that I have found.
